JOB DESCRIPTION:

DUTIES:

Prepare patient's chart for evaluation by entering medical history information.
Taking vital signs/measurements and recording in the EMR as needed. (blood pressure, pulse rate, height, weight, etc.)
Adding pharmacy, current medications, allergies in eRX.
Fielding patient calls concerning medication refill requests, prior authorization requests, requests for paperwork/letters, and medical issues/concerns as authorized by clinical staff.
Assisting the clinical staff in returning patient calls, sending/calling in prescription refills, and submitting prior authorizations.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in data entry into EMR -must possess excellent computer skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, anatomy and physiology.
Proficiency with Psychiatric Medications a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient care.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Spanish speaking (preferred).
